About Us
We are the Clwyd East Conservative Association — the local voluntary organisation of the Conservative and Unionist Party here in North East Wales.
Our constituency spans parts of Denbighshire, Flintshire, and Wrexham, including the principal towns of Prestatyn, Llangollen, Ruthin, Mold, and Holywell. We campaign across this diverse and vibrant area, from our coastal communities to our rural heartlands.
Our Association is run entirely by volunteers from all walks of life who share a belief in core Conservative values and want to make them a reality. We work together to:
- Support Conservative candidates at all levels — from Parliament to the Senedd to local councils.
- Promote Conservative policies and values in our communities.
- Recruit, engage, and encourage new members, volunteers, and future candidates.
We believe in the four cornerstones of Conservatism:
- Freedom – Less interference from the state; freedom for individuals, families, voluntary groups, and businesses.
- Enterprise – Keeping taxes low and cutting red tape so businesses can thrive.
- Responsibility – Upholding the rule of law, supporting all members of our society, and protecting the environment for future generations.
- Nation – Safeguarding the Union, maintaining strong defence, and protecting our right to national self-government.
Here in Clwyd East, that also means standing up for rural communities, backing our farmers, protecting food security, and opposing wasteful Senedd expansion.
Being part of our Association is about making a difference and enjoying it — whether that’s leafleting on a Saturday morning, knocking on doors to hear from residents, organising events, or raising funds to support our campaign work.
